Al lives in Horspath with his wife Caroline and their three children, and joined WCC as pastor in 2019. After 10 years running an IT business, Al responded to a call of God to start working for the Church, and served as an assistant pastor and school chaplain.
Caroline lives in Horspath with her husband Al. Having stepped away from secondary teaching to spend more time with their three children, she is now a local school governor and church administrator for WCC. She is a lover of musical worship, and also a keen knitter!
Christopher and his wife Kim, live on Old Road in Wheatley with their 4 children who attend the local primary and secondary schools. Christopher grew up in a christian home, with parents who are still working in ministry; and studied Architecture in South Africa before moving to the UK in 2003. He works at a local firm of architects by day, and runs his own architectural business on the side. Christopher has been part of WCC from its very beginning and is involved in the church’s children’s and youth ministries. Christopher believes that being a follower of Christ goes far beyond denominations, traditions and religious practices, and is more about a daily, practical, relevant, living out of a personal, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus.
He is also a believer in bad dad puns, and enjoys the great outdoors and watching movies!
Jemima and her husband, Stephen live on Ladder Hill. Jemima and Stephen met and married in Oxford when they moved here after university. Jemima works for the University of Oxford in IT Services. Before coming to WCC, she attended Woodstock Road Baptist Church for many years.
Danni is a school teacher, a dance teacher and a mother, with over 16 years of active involvement in Christian outreach in the Wheatley area, along with her husband Dan and their four children. Prior to 2012, she also headed up Fusion UK's youth work training course here in the UK. She was part of the steering group that set up WCC, and brings a strong desire to serve and to help us, as the body of Christ, to more fully express our God-given purpose here in the village of Wheatley - loving and serving each other and our community in such a way that it irresistibly draws others in, so that they too can find the fullness of life that we can have in Christ.
Brian joined the leadership team in Sept 2019. He is married to Liz and they have 2 children, Emily and Ollie who are currently at university. They have lived in Wheatley for 15 years and attended WCC from its start. Brian was imported from N Ireland many years ago, works in London and enjoys most sports and travel. Together with Liz, they lead our teenage work here in WCC. He became a Christian as a young child and, since then has been learning to love Jesus a little more each year.
Tim and his wife Naomi live with their four children in Forest Hill. They have been involved with three previous church plants in Oxford, Southampton and most recently Melbourne. He has been involved in the leadership and teaching in these churches. Tim now works as an academic clinician (a doctor and a scientist studying lung diseases) but has been involved in various ministries including work as a student staff worker for the Christian Medical Fellowship which involved apologetics, discipleship, evangelism and equipping and training student groups in UK and aboard. Tim has an interest in bible teaching, interactive Bible studies, science-faith apologetics and youth discipleship.
