Christmas craft event

This Christmas, like never before, we are all in need of hope and something to look forward to. Let’s make this Christmas Craft night our best ever, nourishing and refreshing us as we get together and enjoy being creative!
To Covid-proof the event, we are going online and using Zoom to deliver the presentations so that, whatever restrictions we are under on 4th Dec, we can be certain that we can go ahead. At time of writing, we are just about to enter a month’s lockdown, due to end on 2nd December. Therefore, we would encourage friends, if these restrictions are indeed lifted, to get together in small groups in someone’s home, but even if this isn’t possible, we will be using the wonders of Zoom to put guests into smaller ‘breakout rooms’ as we sit and make the craft that has been demonstrated. This means that we will be able to chat with a small group of friends/friendly strangers while we work. Each breakout room will have a team member who knows how to make the chosen craft and will be on hand to help if anyone gets stuck.
We therefore need to ask for more information at registration than we usually do, so that we can deliver craft materials and refreshments to individual homes (or to a group host) as well as try to match people up in breakout rooms if requested.
Registering:
Everyone who attends the craft evening will need to register individually online this year. We will ask for your address (for home delivery) and also whether you have arranged to be part of a group, either as a host or as a guest. If we are allowed to meet together in homes, everything you need for the evening will be delivered to your host. If not, it will be delivered to your own address.
If you would like to join others and would prefer us to arrange a host for you, then please tick ‘guest’ option and leave the host name blank. If you would feel more comfortable not joining with others, then please tick that option.
Once registered, you will receive the Zoom link nearer the time. Please do not share this link with others who have not registered as they will not have any of the materials necessary to do the crafts.
You will need to pay for your ticket, this is done via Paypal, but you do NOT need a Paypal account – you can pay with a credit or debit card.
Before the event:
Your craft bag containing everything that you will need for the evening will be delivered to your address (or that of your host if you’re in a group) at least 5 days before the event.
On the evening: Canapes and drinks:
Our ‘butlers’ will deliver your refreshments to your door on the night, under the rules which allow home delivery and takeaways. Please be ready to receive these at your host’s or at home from 7pm onwards. Please note, we can only deliver within a 4 mile radius of Wheatley – we will confirm on registration if home delivery is possible.
What will change if the rules change?
We will email you before delivering the craft bags to inform you of our latest plans, but be assured, nothing is going to stop us going ahead!
Registering Deadline: 27th NOVEMBER (early-bird discount if registered by 8th Nov)
In order to make sure that we have everything ready to deliver to you early (for hygiene reasons), we need to have received registrations a bit earlier than usual.
